Edward

My name is Edward,35 years old and married with two kids, I`m an ex-drug addict. I was brought up in a Christian family, my father was an evangelical priest. I had a good life during my childhood.

During my teenage time, I was involved in church activities with the youth and I have lead worship times but the church activities couldn’t have stopped the weird behavior I had at that time! I decided to leave home and earn my living in order to get married.

I worked in a factory, one of my colleagues gave me drugs, I liked the effect it did to me and I began to take it every day until I couldn’t go on in anything without it.

For twelve years I couldn’t say no or stop taking the drugs, I became a slave to drugs, life has collapsed so fast, I resigned from my work and my wife left me, I was miserable.

One of my friends took me to a place where I spent 9 months, I stopped drugs and decided to leave the place but after a while, I started taking drugs again.

Finally, I went to the recovery mountain house, I found love and support from the team. This kind of support surprised me!  What I like the most about the place is the prayer time. My relationship with God became much stronger than before. I am happy and confident. I’ve decided to continue recovery journey to the end.
